Organizers prepare for drive-thru Malta Food Fest | The Daily Gazette
SECTIONS
MALTA If you enjoyed last year’s Malta Food Fest and loved tasting different cuisine from around the area, this year should be no different except it’s curbside pickup.
The second-annual Malta Food Fest takes place with a take-out twist on Wednesday at Hudson Valley Community College’s TEC-SMART campus in Malta, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The event, hosted by the Saratoga County Chamber, will still give attendees a chance to sample food from Ballston Spa, Malta and beyond, but the food will be packaged in grab-and-go containers. It’ll also feature a “boxed-to-go” dinner available to reheat at home, courtesy of Pizza Works, Bowled, The Hideaway, Esperanto, Nani’s Indian Kitchen, and Augie’s. Tickets for the event are $20 and available on the chamber’s website.

The second annual Malta Food Fest will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the TEC-SMART campus, 345 Hermes Road, Malta.
Takeout meals to be reheated at home will be provided by Pizza Works, Bowled, The Hideaway, Esperanto, Nani’s Indian Kitchen and Augie’s.
As in previous years, proceeds from will benefit the
Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation in Education Fund, but, in a change for 2021, participating restaurants will receive a portion of ticket sales to help offset costs. A silent auction of gift baskets, donated items and gift certificates will be held virtually.
