we value the ballot and the ballot booth. we want election integrity. there s a lot of controversy out there, and i m focused right now on making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. i think that s the focus right now. bob dole, one of the last interviews he gave in july to usa today. he was asked about the former president and he said this. he lost the election and i regret that he did, but they did. he had rudy giuliani running all over the country claiming fraud. he never had one bit of fraud and all the lawsuits. i m a trumper. i m sort of trumped out, though. you stood with those that didn t want to certify the election. do you regret that now considering all the crazy cockamamy things that mark meadows and others were doing? i m always going to stand up for election integrity. i want to make sure every state obeys their own laws and their own constitution, especially in a time of crisis. that s what s at risk for me
at the end of the day, it s something they should not be doing. it s wrong and we re going to continue to fight to protect people s identity and the expectations they had when they went into the ballot booth. this is another attempt to impact people s voting rights and that s something we re going to continue to fight. thank you very much. thank you for having me. joining us to discuss all of this former homeland security task force advisor to mike pence olivia troy. the arizona audit, air quotes around audit, was such a clown show they had to go and store the county machines at the fairgrounds while the carnival was going on. this was led by cyber ninjas. it was such a clown show that some of the republican senators who supported it initially said we ve got to back away from this because this is not helping.
warren s lead only 40 percentage points so biden, that 63-point lead under those who have an unfavorable view of both is a big, big deal. the margin trump won by actually seems to have come or can be attributed to folks who walked into the ballot booth saying i don t like hillary clinton or donald trump. donald trump won them handily. it seems the trump campaign strategy is to drive down everyone s negatives, especially joe biden. that might account for their ukraine strategy. that is why this group is so important and biden s overwhelming edge with them is the reason he has a general election edge over the other democrats. they only hate biden a little bit. okay. that should be his new motto. you re saying there s a chance. another key reason biden is up versus the other democrats doing better. this is among dem and democratic leaning voters. liberals aren t liking biden too much in the primary but he s winning by 88 points in the general election over trump. that s close to
second in particular. i know you spent time with kamala harris talking about the hawkeye state in particular. a four-way race according to quinnipiac. elizabeth warren at the top with 20% and again these are likely democratic caucus-goers. pete buttigieg right there at number two, 19%, bernie sanders there and joe biden rounding out the top five. what s your sense? we should also point out it s a four-point spread in terms of margin, 4.5 points actually. what s your sense in iowa? should we expect more movement before the caucuses in february? do we think that s perhaps where we re going to end up? i think we ll see some movement. the 4.5% margin of error is a concern for someone who teaches statistics. i always remind my students, this is a caucus and not a primary. these are people who don t go cast a ballot in a private ballot booth. it s a much more communal endeavor. we have time between now and the
and nina turner all with us at the table. great to have you here on this exciting morning. early voting is up, it s up considerably, notably. something is happening out there, we just don t know what. how can we tell what this means? folks are passionate, right? at both ends of the extreme, those who are an tag snis i can towards the president they are probably already in the ballot booth, recorded, as long as their state permits it and the same with the other side. we still don t know whether that necessarily translates to some extraordinary turnout when all is said and done. i think it s clear that it will exceed 2014, but how far in excess of 2014 we really don t know. we know that people who are committed they are already held accountable. it s so interesting. one of the things we do know is that the president has been trying to stir up passion in his base. we have reporting from jeff zeleny that he was mad about a rosy add on the economy, what he wanted was the anti-immigration
