campaigns that followed the rules since have been in place since 1998. mitt romney and ron paul. bill: the law is the law, right? how do you bend this in the late hours? this is from the associated press from three days ago when i mentioned some of this. virginia s ballot access law requires candidates to submit the segtures of at least 10,000 registered voters including at least 400 from each of the state s 11 congressional districts. that is the law, right? that is the law but the provision is so controversyal whether or not the people who collect the signatures have to be citizens. under the current law, since 1998 they do. that is where rick perry what is interesting here, newt gingrich is also challenging this. he is a citizen of virginia. governor bob mcdonnell, any statewide candidate had to meet the criteria since 1998. never been a problem. there is also going to be emergency review by the fourth circuit. i don t think this judge will be the final say even if he does hold
in this picture, and i quote, will be held accountable to the fullest extent. stay with us. i m going to talk more about the outrage and fallout with mark in facetime seven minutes from now. it sounds like a vacation, west hilton, west palm beach, but seven days before the primary and 19 days before the florida votes, it s all work for republicans who think they have a shot for their party s nomination. that includes jon huntsman who came in respectable third in new hampshire and this guy who came in sixth. one of the reasons that we re here in south carolina is because we don t quit. and i want to ask you between now and the 21st to do everything that you can to talk to your friends and anybody that s not going to be here or absentee vote to get their votes in to count. because if you ll have my back on the 21st of january, i will have your back for four years in washington, d.c. the man they all want to replace will have plenty of cash to spend on keeping his job. pre
rather than a write in candidates. dave: they don t allow write-in candidates to be clear. does it say something about the lack of organization and structure of the gingrich campaign. rick perry has 20 million dollars in the bank, he couldn t get on the ballot. no one could except for mitt romney all the money in the worlden ron paul all the volunteers in the world. dave: you re not saying it s not a problem with knit gingrich s infrastructure and organization? i think when you have only two candidates out of seven or eight potentially available getting on the ballot. that means the ballot access law is way too strict and frankly i think it should be overturned in court. what if a candidate hasn t locked up the nomination by virginia? probably means that ron paul is likely to have a good showing and will it be i think it s embarrassment,
