bianca was home when the police arrived. it s surreal. you have there like roving gangs of toddlers who are ripping everything apart. they turned our sofas upside down. took out the light. they took out my toaster. i mean, they take everything apart. a ballistics report told police the murder weapon was a 9 millimeter handgun. chris, was an avid collector of guns and among them, police found an empty case for a springfield armory 9 millimeter handgun. what do you know, the gun that went with it was missing. chris wright was arrested and charged with the murder of ken dolezsar. there s a massive sense of disbelief. he was being completely taken out of the blue. and for no reason. the loving husband who cried his way through romantic comedies. a cold blooded assassin? impossible. it quite literally was impossible for chris to have killed ken dolezsar that morning. he had an alibi. he was in the loft. i was there. he was home, in bed, with her.
, christine was absolutely certain that the shooter wore a pair exactly like that. i know that, because i played softball. and it stuck out to me right away. detective immediately sent strickland s gun to be tested. to see if it fired those two spent shell cases at the crime scene. he did not have to wait long at for the results. what the report said was the two found at the scene, the two shell casings, from the test fire were linked to the same weapon. for the detective, the report was a missing case of the puzzle. which he believed now directly linked david strickland to the shootings. the day i looked at that ballistics report, is the day that we arrested david strickland. the charges, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault, and capital murder. while in custody, david strickland agreed to sit down for a police interview. just have a seat for me.
but they hear bits and pieces. one family in particular, and i won t mention their names, their little girl there i go. this child had only received a bullet wound in the back. so unlike the other children who had multiple rounds, one round on this little girl. the first responder later admitted to them that this little girl had probably bled out. and, you know, you d like to think that had law enforcement gone in 20 or 30 minutes earlier, maybe this child would still be alive with us today. and so those are the questions that i have just kind of swirling through my mind. i had a very long call with steve ccraw on saturday. he as shed me i d get a ballistics report. i don t care about a ballistics report, i want to know where each officer was situated. there was 19 officers at 12:03. he claims two were from dps.
