Capping off their 2021-2022 season, Ballet Theatre of Maryland will present the beloved classic, Coppélia, April 22-23 at Maryland Hall for the Arts. This fractured fairytale, set in an idyllic peasant village, tells the story of two lovers, an eccentric inventor, and his beautiful, mysterious daughter.
Fast Forward provides the opportunity for award-winning and cutting-edge choreographers, both local and from around the country, to experiment. Choreographers Amy Seiwert, Duncan Cooper, Marika Brussel, Mariana Sobral and Dalia Rawson are creating brand new works that push the boundaries of classical ballet. Set to music ranging from classical to singer-songwriters performing live, this program will treat audiences to a fast-paced evening of new contemporary ballet, often described by the dancers as their favorite program of the season.

He was Queensland Ballet s artistic associate from 2016-2019 and the company s repertory includes his A Midsummer Night s Dream, Dangerous Liaisons, No man s Land and Firebird. Dangerous Liaisons was one of the company s triumphs and was certainly the sexiest ballet the company has ever done which is tragically ironic.
