A rep for both the publisher and the memoir's co-writer told Billboard, "My client has decided to defer the further release of the book at this time. Mr. Carter was not just a celebrity but also a father, a brother, a so and a friend to many still grieving for him." Carter's rep recently told Page Six that his client wanted nothing to do with the memoir and added that its publication was "against Aaron's wishes." TMZ reported Sunday (November 13th) that Carter died without a will. According to the outlet, California law dictates that his estate will be left to his only child, Prince. However, rumor has it that the singer was broke when he died last week.
