After recovering from COVID-19, Amber Stevens continued to suffer from lingering symptoms.
âI had this shortness of breath that would kind of come and go,â she said, speaking at a press conference organized this week by Ballad Health.
âI had this nagging cough that just continued, and even though my sense of smell had returned, I had this constant smell of cigarette smoke that I could not get rid of.â
The symptoms continued for a month, leading her to see her primary care doctor. After several tests, she left with a clean bill of health.
But it didnât change the fact she was still experiencing symptoms.
