In March of 2020 a “shelter in place” order was issued due to pandemic concerns. As a result, many Americans experienced a change in routine and increased stress. For many, this led to less physical activity and an increase in emotional eating. Now, many Americans have found that they gained the “Quarantine 19” or more. This has led to an increase in the number of Americans that are overweight or obese. Obesity is a disease that can lead to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, fatty liver and even cancer. The good news is that losing weight will help improve your blood pressure, blood sugar and energy level.
