San Bernardino County on Wednesday reported 2,572 new coronavirus cases and one additional virus-related death since Tuesday.
The county has now reported 111,518 cases and 1,208 virus-related deaths since the pandemic began. A total of 97,958 of those COVID-19 patients have recovered.
Home to about 2.2 million people, San Bernardino County is the state s fifth-most populous county but continues to record the second-highest number of cases in California. San Bernardino County is home to 5.5% of the state s residents but 7.8% of the state s reported COVID-19 cases.
San Bernardino County saw an increase of 12 hospitalized COVID-19 patients since Tuesday, raising its total to 996. Of those, 216 are being cared for in intensive care units, an increase of four since Tuesday. That total comprises 42.4% of the county s occupied ICU beds.

we should say, most of them have been abandoned. this is taking place on the southbound lanes on the 15 freeway south of hisperia. the structures are in the baldy mesa area. he confirmed structures burned he didn t have a number. he confirmed there were evacuations. we just got confirmation the fire is up to 2,000 acres on this fire. as we look down on this large big rig that is still burning on the side of the 15 freeway. not on the side it s still on the 15 freeway as well. we have the ten tanker the dc-10 tanker circling above. we are waiting to see where it s going to drop. on the freeway or further up the hillside where homes are threatened. now you are looking at the northbound lanes of the 15 freeway into the barstow area.
