Second suspect arrested in alleged attempt to sneak drugs to county inmate

Posted Alexis Biron BCSO release BAY MINETTE, Alabama A second suspect has been arrested that investigators say was involved in trying to sneak drugs to a Baldwin County Corrections Center inmate at the courthouse in Bay Minette. According to a release issued Wednesday, Jan. 20 by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department, 27-year-old Alexis Biron of Brewton was arrested in Oceans Springs, Mississippi, after she was spotted driving a vehicle, authorities say, was stolen out of Foley. Biron, charged with receiving stolen property, is being held in the Jackson County (Mississippi) Detention Center and will be extradited back to Alabama to face charges involving the attempt to introduce narcotics into the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Corrections Center on Jan. 6, according to the release.

Fairhope man charged in child sexual assault investigation

Fairhope Police Report FAIRHOPE – A Fairhope man was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 13, on felony charges as a result of an on-going child sexual assault investigation by the Fairhope Police Department. John Ryan Arnold, 39, is charged with enticing a child for immoral purposes and domestic violence – strangulation or suffocation, according to Fairhope police. Both are felony charges and additional charges are also pending, the statement said. The incidents are alleged to have taken place over an extended period of time and were reported to Fairhope Police in October 2020. Arnold was transferred to the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette, where he was being held on $17,500 bond on Thursday.

Arrest made in Eastern Shore arson cases

By Guy Busby SPANISH FORT – The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has changed a Mobile man with arson in connection with two fires set in the Malbis community on Friday, Dec. 18. Phillip Mack, 33, was being held without bond in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on Friday on charges of first-degree arson and second-degree arson, according to jail records. The arrest came after a house fire was reported in Malbis on Thursday, according to Sheriff’s Office reports. Deputies determined that the fire was set on purpose, damaging a home and vehicle at the site. While the investigation was going on, the Sheriff’s Office received another report of a vehicle fire at the freestanding emergency room the freestanding Emergency Room in Malbis. That vehicle sustained major damage.
