Breaking news A crash between a car and a tractor-trailer rig claimed the lives of two Baldwin High School students early Tuesday, local and state authorities say. The wreck happened about midnight on Ga. Route 22, also known as the Sparta Highway, near Reynolds Road, according to a spokeswoman with the Georgia State Patrol post in Milledgeville. Baldwin County Coroner John Gonzalez identified the victims as Tyrese Wright, 17; and Jonathan Jarrett, 18, both of Milledgeville. Gonzalez said the teens were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 12:20 a.m. by Baldwin County Chief Deputy Coroner Ken Garland. Gonzalez said the victims died from blunt force trauma.
