Equinor is extending its contracts with Baker Hughes, Halliburton and Schlumberger for integrated drilling and well services on Equinor-operated fields on the Norwegian continental shelf. The contract extension for drilling services has an estimated total value of approx. NOK 14 billion. The total value of specialist services in the same period is calculated at close to NOK 6 billion.

Equinor (NYSE: EQNR) reported Tuesday that it has awarded Altus Intervention AS and Archer Integrated Services AS framework contracts to supply integrated wireline services within well intervention to its fixed platforms.
“This is the result of a long-term strategy to achieve more holistic solutions, and an opportunity to modernize the intervention services,” remarked Peggy Krantz-Underland, Equinor’s chief procurement officer, in a written statement emailed to Rigzone.
Equinor estimates the total value of the fixed-term framework contracts – awarded for approximately five years from May 2021 – approaches NOK 1 billion (US$117 million) per year. It pointed out the contracts include three two-year extension options, adding the agreements include optionality for wireline services to other areas such as mobile units. Archer Integrated Services have been awarded framework contracts for supplying
integrated wireline services within well intervention to Equinor’s fixed platforms. The estimated total value of the contracts is close to one billion NOK per year, and the contracts are awarded for a fixed period of around five years from May 2021.
The contracts include three two-year extension options. Optionality for wireline services to other areas, such as mobile units, are also included. The supplier companies have their main offices in Stavanger and Sandnes and the contracts are estimated to employ around 500 people.
