The city’s animal shelter says that while officials take dog fighting ‘very seriously,’ a post that’s again circulating on social media does not refer to a real threat.

A post on neighborhood website NextDoor warning residents to protect their pets from being forced into a dog fight in Grand Prairie is four years old and does not refer to a real threat, according to the city’s Prairie Paws Adoption Center.
