ONGC Kidnapping Case: Constable of 25 APBN Arrested

GUWAHATI: A constable of the 25 APBN has been arrested by the Assam Police officials for his alleged role in the kidnapping of the three ONGC employees earlier this month.
According to reports, the constable identified as Basanta Boragohain was in charge of the security of the ONGC rig site at Lakwa field in Sivasagar on the day of the abduction.
Boragohain was absconding since then and was arrested from Sadiya on Monday.

GUWAHATI: In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Guwahati (M), the Cotton University has decided to postpone the ongoing Under Graduate 1st Semester examination.
Further, the university has also decided to postpone exams of BA Liberal Arts until further notification.
The official notification reads- In view of the increased number of Covid-I 9 cases in Guwahati Metro). the ongoing UG SEMI Examination including 13A Liberal Arts arc hereby suspended from today (26.04.21) until further notification. The remaining Examination will be scheduled when the situation becomes, normal and will be notified in due course.
