The isolation of lockdown has been hard on everyone s mental health, but there is always support, advice and someone to chat to if you know where to look.
Last week, Outcomers Drogheda started a series of Free LGBTQ+ Well-Being Workshops, kicking off with an LGBTQ+ Mental Health Workshop.
This series of six workshops will run bi-monthly through 2021, and each will have their own unique theme related to the well-being of the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland and each will be facilitated by expert professionals. These had originally been planned to be in person, but obviously we ve had to transfer them to Zoom, explains Anthony Kinahan, chair of Outcomers Drogheda. Actually, that has worked out really well, as people from as far as Belfast and Cork have been able to join in, where they wouldn t have been able before.
