The Huskies have won nine straight head-to-head meetings against the Wildcats, including a two-game sweep this season. Tech also extended its overall win streak to 11 straight games going back to January 15. Jordan Ludescher led the offense with 21 points and three rebounds. Ludescher shot 7-for-14 from the floor with seven free throws on 10 attempts. Baillie McGirk also played well with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Rondorf finished with a career of 18 points and the Huskies used an 18-0 run in the first half to part for their ninth straight win. Baillie McGirk was noticeable at both ends of the floor. It was the sixth straight victory for the Huskies and a two-game road sweep over Ferris State. The Huskies opened the game with an impressive 14-0 run and led 22-9 at the end of the first quarter. Over the nearly seven-minute stretch, Mackay scored 10, including a pair of 3-pointers. Ferris State stormed back with a 19-9 run in the second quarter and narrowed the margin to just three points by halftime. Several critical defensive stops late in the fourth quarter and two made free throws by Mackay helped MTU stay ahead and secure the victory.
