PHOTO: PID ISLAMABAD:   Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesdays said the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) was an important forum for collaboration between the two countries in a number of fields. He said this during a meeting with Bahrain Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa. The two sides agreed to work in close collaboration in the areas of mutual interest, the foreign minister said in a series of tweets.

Qureshi arrives in Bahrain on 2-day visit

July 29, 2021 MANAMA: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday arrived in Bahrain s capital Manama on a two-day official visit. Bahrain s Foreign Minister Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Alzayani and Pakistan s Ambassador Muhammad Ayub received the foreign minister at the Manama International Airport. The foreign minister will attend the second meeting of the Pak-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission in Manama and will lead the Pakistani delegation. He will also address the second meeting of the Pak-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission. During his visit to Bahrain, the foreign minister will hold meetings with the Bahraini top leadership, including his counterpart. Bilateral relations and the promotion of cooperation in various fields of mutual interest will be discussed. Foreign Minister Qureshi will also hold talks with local and international media representatives in Bahrain and present Pakistan s views on important regional and global issues.

Joint Press Release of 2nd Session of Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission - MANAMA, Bahrain: The 2nd Meeting of the Bahrain-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission was held on July 28-29, 2021 in Manama. The Bahraini side was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani while the Pakistani side was chaired by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi. For the establishment of the Joint Ministerial Commission, an agreement was signed between the two countries in 2014. Dr. Al Zayani welcomed the Pakistani delegation and expressed his keen interest in furthering the deep-rooted bilateral relationship between the two Countries.

FM Qureshi to depart for Bahrain today test ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will visit Bahrain on a two-day visit from Wednesday to lead Pakistan’s delegation in the 2nd session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission. According to the Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will co-chair the 2nd JMC session from Pakistan’s side. During the JMC, both sides will hold expert-level talks, particularly focusing on Commerce, Investment, Energy, Overseas Employment, Agriculture, Information and Broadcasting, Tourism and other areas of mutual interest. During the visit, the Foreign Minister will call on the Bahraini leadership. He will also have a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
