Assam Govt to Provide Free Vaccines to Everyone from 18-45 Years

  |  20 April 2021 5:21 PM GMT GUWAHATI: The Assam government has decided to provide free vaccines to people in the age group of 18-45 years. It is to be mentioned here that the state government shall procure the vaccines from the funds collected in Assam Arogya Nidhi in the year 2020. Meanwhile, the Assam government has placed the order of vaccine for 1 Cr Doses with Bharat Biotech. Taking to his Twitter handle, Assam State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, Assam will give FREE vaccines to everyone from 18-45 years. GOI is giving free vaccines for 45 +. Funds collected in Assam Arogya Nidhi last year shall be utilized for the procurement of vaccines. Today itself, we ve placed orders for 1 cr doses with @BharatBiotech.
