KOHIMA: The Nagaland government ordered the closure of all the schools in the State, including the residential ones, for students of Classes 1 to 8 with immediate effect. Chief Secretary J. Alam, in his order, said that regular classes for students of 9 to 12 will continue for now following the necessary SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Meanwhile, Governor R.N. Ravi requested the Church leaders to influence people to follow the Coronavirus protocols. (IANS)

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has decided to provide free vaccines to people in the age group of 18-45 years.
It is to be mentioned here that the state government shall procure the vaccines from the funds collected in Assam Arogya Nidhi in the year 2020.
Meanwhile, the Assam government has placed the order of vaccine for 1 Cr Doses with Bharat Biotech.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Assam State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, Assam will give FREE vaccines to everyone from 18-45 years. GOI is giving free vaccines for 45 +. Funds collected in Assam Arogya Nidhi last year shall be utilized for the procurement of vaccines. Today itself, we ve placed orders for 1 cr doses with @BharatBiotech.
