BAGUIO CITY: Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed City Council Resolution 324-23, requesting the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI) to include any activity related to trees and other non-tree planting activities as part of the activities during the celebration of the Baguio Flower Festival in the Summer Capital. It disclosed that during the Scout Official For-A-Day (Sofad) Session held on Oct. 14, 2019, the Sofad Council adopted the proposal of Sofad Councilor Dennise Maguen entitled A Resolution Requesting the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Incorporated (BFFFI) to Include Tree Planting Event as One of the Activities During the Baguio Flower Festival. The Panagbenga or Baguio Flower Festival is an annual flower occasion that reflects the history, traditions, and values of the City of Baguio and the Cordilleras. It was created as a tribute to the city s flowers and as a way to rise from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake.
