PRINCETON With sweeping views towards the Boston skyline, ringed by historic homes and crowned by Bagg Hall and the town library, the Town Common has been a point of civic pride for hundreds of years.
At a meeting Feb. 9, members of the Select Board and Historical Commission agreed to review language for a proposed policy outlining acceptable landscaping and permanent features for the publicly owned piece of land in the town’s Historic District.
The Historical Commission favors maintaining the current shrubs and trees on the common, but would not want to add more, according to member Matt Lindberg.

PRINCETON At their Dec. 1 meeting, members of the town s Select Board officially approved the Host Community Agreement and letter of intent with Red Cardinal, which plans to open an adult use retail marijuana facility in the Mechanics Hall building on Route 140.
“I’m just very pleased that we’ve gotten to this point,” said board member Richard Bisk. “It’s been a long haul.”
Stan Rosenberg, representative for Red Cardinal, said the company’s team was very excited to reach the important milestone.
“We hope the community agreement and letter of intent work for the town.”
