This massive patch upgrades the games to 64-bit systems, fixes hundreds of bugs, and adds brand new portraits & voice sets to customize your heroes including two sets from the legendary Mark Meer (voice of Commander Shepard in Mass Effect)! Huge thanks to our heroic community for their tireless adventuring in beta builds for this mammoth patch. Thank You! Massive PC patch 2 6 Released for Baldur s Gate I & II and Icewind Dale

Apr 20, 2021 06:29 EDT A major PC update, patch 2.6, has been released for the enhanced editions of Baldur s Gate, Baldur s Gate II, Siege of Dragonspear, and Icewind Dale. According to the development team, this “mammoth” patch packs hundreds of bugs, upgrades the games to 64-bit systems, adds 11 new character portraits, and 7 new character voice sets. In addition, the 2.6 patch includes multiplayer improvements alongside game-specific changes to abilities, spells, audio, achievements, and much more. Some of the new character portraits can be seen at the top of this post. Down below you’ll find the highlights and main changes for all games. Patch 2.6 for the enhanced editions of the classic role-playing games makes a number of important changes, including an upgrade to 64-bit that improves system compatibility with modern machines. 32-bit operating systems are no longer supported. Meanwhile, there are seven new character voice sets (including two from the legendary Mark Meer reprising his roles as Alveus Malcanter and Baeloth Barrityl), which you can use for your hero, 11 new character portraits, and hundreds of bug fixes. These include Baldur’s Gate($4.99), Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn($9.99), and Icewind Dale($9.99) Enhanced Editions. Today, Beamdog pushed out massive updates to all three games on PC platforms in the form of version 2.6. The 2.6 update upgraded the games for 64-bit, added new portraits, voice sets, and more. One little bit of information hidden in the known issues for all three games is that crossplay across PC and mobile isn’t available until the 2.6 update arrives on iOS and Android.
