1. You can now join a local chapter of the UW Alumni Association.
There are more than 100 chapters in cities around the world, so wherever you move, it’s easy to connect with Badgers in your new community. Badger volunteers run the chapters and organize events, from watch parties to walks. This year, the Alumni Association revamped its website, uwalumni.com, to make it easier for grads to locate their closest chapter.
2. Take advantage of your free, 2-year membership.
The Alumni Association gives recent graduates their first two years free. After that, it costs $35 to retain membership. Again, joining the association gives you access to free campus events every year, including many around Homecoming, as well as hospitality at One Alumni Place, the opportunity to ride on the Association’s pontoon boat, and national discounts on car rentals and more.
