With the start of the 57th Brown County Rodeo less than a week away, this year’s event will include two new competitions – mutton busting and a calf scramble for high schoolers.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m. each night, the mutton busting competition will feature kids ages 7 and under who weight at least 55 pounds. All who compete must pre-register online at the following link: https://forms.gle/vaHqLkfqbnztv9wS8. The entry fee is $10.
Immediately after the mutton busting, the calf scramble for Brown County high school age students that will be participating in the 2022 Brown County Youth Fair will take place. The participant must be an incoming freshman through incoming senior for the school year 2021-2022. There is no cost to participate. The top six participants from Thursday night and Friday night will compete Saturday for two $500 vouchers to be used toward a project at the 2022 Brown County Youth Fair.
