Sara Cox’s drivetime afternoon show on BBC Radio 2 – suffused with her reassuring Bolton tones and warm sense of humour – has been ever present throughout this past year and all the fear, misery and lockdowns. But the year has been a tough one for 46-year-old Sara, too.
