Ha Giang will not give up on its ambition to build its own airport
After being rejected by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), Ha Giang has submitted its airport proposal to the prime minister.
Accordingly, the province would like to add its own airport project to the master plan. The airport was proposed for dual use (military and civil), to be located in Tan Quang commune, Bac Quang district following level II military airport and level 4C civil airport standards.
The airport would span about 388 hectares of space, 70ha of which would be dedicated to military purposes.

It is forecast that northern and north-central Vietnam will see moderate to heavy rains, even downpours, on Monday, the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting reported.
Due to the impacts of a cold air mass, showers and thunderstorms have occurred in these areas since early this morning, with rather high rainfall measured at some locations, such as 43 millimeters in Bac Quang District, Ha Giang Province and 42 millimeters in Do Luong District, Nghe An Province.
It is forecast that moderate to heavy rains will hit northeastern and north-central provinces, with precipitation ranging from 40 to 100 millimeters over the next 24 hours, even up to 120 millimeters in some places.

VNA, the Project Management Board No.2 has requested the Ministry of Transport to send an official document to the Korea Economic Development Cooperation Fund (KEDCF) to confirm the official development assistance (ODA) component of the project constructing the route connecting Ha Giang with the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway.
The estimated total investment value of the project is VND7.702 billion ($334.87 million). Of this, the ODA loan from the KEDCF is expected to contribute about VND6.103 billion ($265.35 million) for construction, equipment, technical design, building supervision, and corresponding contingency costs. Meanwhile, counterpart funds will contribute around VND1.599 billion ($69.5 million) for value added tax, site clearance, project management, construc
