COVID-19: 60 cases documented on May 6
Vietnam recorded 60 cases of COVID-19 during the 12 hours to 6pm May 6, including 56 locally-infected cases and four imported, according to the Health Ministry.
Among the 56 local cases, 16 were at the second facility of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, 12 in the northern province of Bac Ninh, 11 in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, four in Hanoi, 3 in the central city of Da Nang.
The national tally has reached 3,090, with 1,690 local cases. In the latest wave of outbreaks from April 27, 120 cases have been detected.

According to Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of Bac Lieu Peopleâs Committee, Delta Offshore Energy Pte., Ltd. (DOE), the investor of the LNG Bac Lieu project is facing difficulties in negotiating the power purchase agreement (PPA) as the parties have yet to reach a compromise over the selling price of power and the power purchase volume. It is currently unsure whether the entire 3,200 MW generated by the plant will be bought.
In April 2020, DOE and the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) had an official online working session for the first time to discuss works related to the project, with the target of signing the PPA before October 2020. In addition, the National Steering Committee for Electricity Development proposed the investor of Bac Lieu LNG-to-power project to keep the selling price of power at 7 US cent per kWh to save time. H
