Photo Submitted by Nova Scotia Remembers Legacy Group A commemorative walk for the 23 victims (including Baby Beaton) of Nova Scotia’s mass shooting last April has drawn an overwhelming response this week.  Denise Burgess, a member of the Nova Scotia Legacy Society’s anniversary committee, which was in charge of planning the event said the walk has drawn interest locally and nationally. The walk follows a path through Victoria Park in Truro, with 15 memorial sites honouring the victims.  “All we could do last year was sit in our homes on lockdown and light candles and put them on our doorstep and feel helpless,” she said in an interview.
