Green Living Seminar: Individual Behavior and Global Environmental Problems

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. Dr. Elizabeth R. DeSombre, Camilla Chandler Frost Professor of Environmental Studies at Wellesley College, will give a talk titled Individual Behavior and Global Environmental Problems as part of MCLA s Green Living Seminar Series at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.    Green Living Seminar Series webinars are free and open to the public; community members can register for each lecture at mcla.edu/greenliving. All seminars take place weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. through April 14.    Dr. DeSombre s recent projects have involved the impact of flag-of-convenience shipping, the regulation of international fisheries, protection of the ozone layer, and global environmental institutions generally. Her recent books include Flagging Standards: Globalization and Environmental, Safety, and Labor Regulations at Sea (MIT Press, 2006), and Global Environmental Institutions (Routledge, 2006). Source: Kwasi Debrah, Contributor2020-12-16 Meet Ghanaian female engineer who designed and built gari processing machine Deborah Opandoh s love for food, mathematics, and physics led her to pursue a degree in Agricultural Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007. That flair has its roots two steps backwards when she would come top in a WAEC-organised Mathematics competition for all Junior High Schools in the Western Region. After serving as a teaching and research assistant upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, Deborah Opandoh decided to taste a master’s degree in Food and Post-harvest engineering at the same University.
