153 Palestinians in hospital after Jerusalem holy site clash
JERUSALEM (AP) Israeli police firing tear gas, stun grenades and rubber-coated bullets clashed with Palestinian stone-throwers at a flashpoint Jerusalem holy site on Monday, the latest in a series of confrontations that is pushing the contested city to the brink of eruption.

BAGRAM, Afghanistan The twisted remains of several all-terrain vehicles leaned precariously inside Baba Mir’s sprawling scrap yard, alongside smashed shards that were once generators, tank tracks that have been dismantled into chunks of metal, and mountains of tents reduced to sliced up fabric.
At Least 1300 Pieces of U.S. Military Equipment Destroyed Amid Afghanistan Troop Withdrawal

As the final American and NATO troops leave Afghanistan after a two-decade war, they are leaving behind tons of military equipment to be destroyed in scrap yards.
The U.S. military is breaking up the Bagram Air Base and anything that is not taken home or given to the Afghan military is being dismantled.
According to a statement from the U.S. military, about 1,300 pieces of equipment have been destroyed so far. One official told the Associated Press that there will be more destroyed before the final deadline for departure on September 11.

It s all U.S. military equipment. The Americans are dismantling their portion of nearby Bagram Air Base, their largest remaining outpost in Afghanistan, and anything that they are not taking home or giving to the Afghan military, they destroy as completely as possible.
