Buddhism in Burma had to undergo significant change, particularly in the twenty-first century, to avoid becoming the laughing stock of the country's youthful and intelligent populace. Many of the concepts stated by "Shin Okkahta," which had previously been suppressed, had to be resurrected by today's progressive Buddhist monks.
