The Pritzker Military Museum & Library is closing its downtown Chicago location and moving north to Kenosha County in Wisconsin, where its archives center is located, later this year. The Pritzker Military Museum & Library (PMML) announced the decision Wednesday in a news release. The PMML's Monroe Building, located at 104 South Michigan Avenue, will close its doors July 27 when its current exhibit, "War of 1812: Countering Peril on the High Seas and at Home," wraps up, according to the release. The PMML will merge its roughly 40,000 artifacts and more than 65,000 books with the Pritzker Military Archives Center (PMAC) in Somers, Wisconsin, about 65 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Milwaukee.
