Five terror suspects have been arrested by the Central Crime Branch with a huge consignment of explosives and firearms, including pistols, live cartridges and materials used for explosives, police sources said on Wednesday.
Under this new system, posters containing QR codes will be prominently displayed throughout the police stations. Visitors can simply scan the code and provide ratings for their station experience, including evaluating the behaviour of the police. It is anticipated that this innovative approach will also help combat corruption within the police force. The QR code feedback received will be diligently monitored by the respective Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).
The city police commissioner emphasised that the police will keep conducting raids in order to address Bengaluru’s drug problem. On International Day Against Drug Abuse, the police also highlighted that many children are becoming a victim of drug abuse and they have caught several drug peddlers around educational institutes whose main target are school and college going students.
DCP (Central) Srinivas Gowda told BM that they are conducting drives, and many cases are being registered. “We have conducted drives and have booked nearly 100 people. We are targeting areas around educational institutions.”
