A series of attacks by coyotes on humans in Stanley Park suggest that an alpha pair of animals are responsible, an urban wildlife specialist says.
Dr. Stanley Gehrt said it is likely that the dominant breeding male and female coyotes in the park are behind the attacks.

In the wild, when coyotes are hunting prey larger than themselves, attacks are initiated 100 per cent of the time by the alpha pair.
