The diplomat emphasized constant bilateral contacts and effective interaction. Telephone conversations between the presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan and the heads of government were held at the initiative of both sides during the year.
"We supply engineering products, electrical goods, medicines, dairy and meat products and other food products to Azerbaijan. Import of fruit and vegetable products from Azerbaijan to Belarus is a great contributor to trade. For example, we have tripled the purchase of tomatoes this year alone," Ambassador Andrei Ravkov noted.
Belarus and Azerbaijan have maintained the level and pace of bilateral cooperation and intensified cooperation in a number of areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov said.
On 20 September, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov met with Deputy Prime Minister of this country Ali Akhmedov.
“Belarus values peace and stability inside the country and in the region above everything else. Throughout the history of the independent Belarusian state, we have been a donor of security in the region and spared no effort to ensure global peace and prosperity,” said Andrei Ravkov.
