owe, alex thompson. alex, good morning. what is the axios 1 big thing today? so nice for you to have me. the 1 big thing is there is an emerging divide between house democrats and senate democrats over this debt ceiling standoff. now, democratic party has been largely echoing the white house s line, which is the debt ceiling is not negotiable. they have basically said, we re not going to talk about it until there is a clean raising of the debt ceiling. now, increasingly, you ve seen a number of house democrats go public and say that they believe the president should start negotiating with republicans, that it is just an unrealistic expectation that they re going to raise the debt ceiling without any sort of concessions. now, the senate democrats have largely, with the exception of senator joe manchin, stayed united in sticking with the president s strategy. it ll be interesting to see that, you know, the first two years of the administration, president biden, who was in the
