AXESS Networks (AXESS) has created a new business unit: AXESS Networks Maritime; a specialized business unit established to respond to the growing and sophisticated demands within the maritime sector.

Colombian operator WOM is deploying 125 cellular backhaul sites in partnership with Axess Networks as it seeks to connect rural areas as part of its nationwide build-out.
A unit of international investment fund Novator Partners, WOM is a new operator in Colombia. Last February it obtained a block of 700MHz spectrum and two blocks of 2500MHz spectrum at auction, which it is now using to provide 4G coverage in 674 rural areas of the country before the end of 2021.
