AnambraThe Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, at the weekend, submitted that the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra was critical to the future of the state.
Ibezim, who spoke during the second session of the 12th synod of the diocese at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Nawfia, with the theme: “Expanding our ministerial coast: Implication for the ordained and the laity”, called on parishioners to participate actively in the election. x
The programme was graced by more than 40 bishops, several clerics and notable Nigerians.
While urging members to get their voter cards, the prelate charged them to prioritise the poll.

No fewer than 38 governorship aspirants are expected to attend the second session of the 12th synod of the Awka Diocese of Anglican Church in Anambra State.
The governorship aspirants, according to a statement on Monda, will join the over 2,500 delegates expected at the synod scheduled to hold at the St Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church Nawfia, in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state between Friday and Sunday.
The chairman, central planning committee of the synod, Dr Emma Ezenwaji, in the statement, said the theme of the event is ‘Expanding our ministerial coast, implications for the ordained and the laity.’
