3 a man is dead after police say he pulled a gun on three cincinnati officers. He was shot on harrison avenue in cheviot. The chaotic scene began when 911 calls were made about an intoxicated man waving a gun. When officers arrived, they found a silver truck crashed into a pole. A few moments ago one from the new Jersey State Police came out to tell us that the trooper suffered serious injuries although does not know his condition at this moment. Chapterer 6 hd over the scene at 295 southbound between exit 24a and route 130 in west deptford. Initial reports indicate that at about 8 00 the state trooper was conducting a traffic stop. Moments later the trooper was struck by a vehicle that was passing by. The vehicle that was stopped caught fire during the subsequent impact and spun around facing northbound on the southbound lanes.
