Anti-liberation forces hatching new conspiracy to distort history: Amu

DHAKA, March 9, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council Member and central 14-party alliance Amir Hossain Amu, MP, today said anti-liberation forces are hatching new conspiracies to distort the history of liberation war and independence.
“Those who destroyed the liberation war spirit through the assassination of Bangabandhu and do not believe in the country’s independence, they are now out to distort the country’s history,” he said.
Amu said this while chairing a virtual discussion of the central 14-party alliance on the occasion of the historic March 7.
The veteran politician said Bangabandhu in his March 7 speech outlined the roadmap of attaining the independence.

BHOLA, Dec 14, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed today said those, who are hatching conspiracy against sculptures, don’t believe in the country’s independence.
“Today the people of the country have become united against those who are hatching conspiracy centering sculptures,” he told a human-chain turned rally arranged by the AL’s Bhola district unit in protest against vandalism of Bangabandhu sculpture.
He joined it through a videoconference.
Tofail said General Ziaur Rahman initiated religion-based politics after amending the constitution.
He said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had begun the trial of war criminals and he hadn’t given mercy to those, who carried out killings, lootings, and arson attacks and raped women.
