Venue owners say recovery is still dependent on local governments and vaccinations.  Live performances like concerts, plays, stand-up comedy, and ballet are an important part of our culture and significant contributors to the US economy. In fact, in 2017, arts and culture contributed $877.8 billion to the nation s GDP, five times more than agriculture.  Though the industry is about to get a $15 billion lifeline from the federal government, venue operators say they won t go back to normal anytime soon.
