Messiah, a political thriller television series is definitely not the best in the genre, but it is nonetheless a binge-worthy watch. Starring Belgian actor Mehdi Dehbi in the leading role, the series follows the
life of one al-Masih, who shepherds his followers into the desert.
Al-Masih is a young and charismatic leader who questions people’s beliefs. He comes across as an authentic spiritual guru, but then doubts arise regarding his true intentions. Al-Masih is fearless as he propounds his philosophy of peace, love and unity. His message resonates with the masses, and they start following him unquestioningly.
