Not shot but crushed by tractor â post mortem on farmer who died in Delhi protests reveals
Post-mortem report says the farmer sustained six injuries, including a traumatic injury to the left side of his skull, that led to his death. No bullet injuries found.

New Delhi: A 27-year-old protestor who died Tuesday at the farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day near ITO was not shot but sustained a “traumatic injury above left side of his skull from where his brain started oozing outâ, leading to his death, the post-mortem report has revealed.

A police officer told PTI Wednesday the body reached Rampur Tuesday night and post-mortem was conducted.

The farmer who died after the tractor rally turned violent in New Delhi on January 26 was not shot, clarified the Assistant Director General (ADG) Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh Police, on January 27. The post mortem report clarifies that he (farmer who died during the tractor rally in Delhi yesterday) was not shot. He succumbed to the antemortem injuries which he received after his tractor turned turtle as seen in the viral video, says Avinash Chandra, ADG Bareilly in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.
