Six members of Tonga's team from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games remain
"in good spirits" despite still being stranded in New Zealand because
of COVID-19 travel restrictions, and are expected to fly home on
October 20.
Six Tongan Olympic team members were due to fly home at the end of August, but weeks later they are still stuck in New Zealand thanks to Covid-19 restrictions.
A six-strong delegation managed by the Tonga Association of Sports and
National Olympic Committee faces a long wait in New Zealand after
their flight home was cancelled due to a change in COVID-19
restrictions.
