just last week. trace gallagher is tracking new developments in our west coast newsroom. this one was very mysterious, there was no distress call and it just dropped out of the sky. reporter: it s become one of the greatest aviation mysteries of our time. jumbo jets simply do not as this one did fallout of the sky say investigators. because of deep sea technology they have gone 12,000 feet down and recovered both of the black boxes which actually are orange. we are talking about the data recorder and the cockpit flight recorder. the data recorder is key because it records the plane s speed, flaps, altitude, every computer function. the cockpit voice recorder records the conversations with the tower, each other and bics up noise like a flight attendant walking into the cockpit. we could have answers from these boxes, which are apparently in very good shape some time in the next new days, which is what the families of the victims are waiting for, listen.
