On May 14th, the Special Olympics Swim Team attended their annual swim meet in Cranbrook, B.C. This swim meet included teams from Fernie, Kimberley, Cranbrook and Smithers. Nadia Kloepzig was the only swimmer to attend with coaches Georgina McIntosh and Avery Sikkes, and performed amazingly. She achieved best times in all four of her races, 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 25m freestyle and 25m backstroke. She was also pleased to win a first place ribbon for the 50m freestyle, a second place ribbon for the 25m backstroke and third place ribbon for the 25m freestyle.
