Average Cash Earnings for December rebounded with a 1% gain, following a 0.2% gain in November. This was a strong reading but missed the market estimate of 1.3%. Household Spending can’t find its footing and posted a 10th straight decline, at -2.5% y/y. This followed the 2.9% drop in November and missed the market estimate of -2.1%.
