The St. Vincent of Lerins Orthodox Church completed its purchase of the downtown church in early July.

St. Vincent pastor Fr. Herman Fields said the congregation has long-term plans to restore the building to host new services.
“It’s a big, huge task … but it’s extremely exciting,” Fields said. “It has so much beauty already in it.”
Third Avenue United Church hadn’t held a church service for more than three years, since the end of June 2018. The decision to end worship at the church was made by a dwindling congregation that felt upkeep of the building would become too costly to continue.

They are the vagabonds and players, relying on their wit and intuition. Whatever thing they are doing, they are all in. They all have taken great risks and created work communally. You can feel the gypsy, the tribe and the family behind them.
