The newly appointed City Council of Mostar adopted a decision, on February 5th, to conduct the election of the mayor of Mostar by public ballot. This decision contravenes Article 36 of the Statute of Mostar, which states that the elections in the City Council must be conducted by secret ballot.

In the last few days, a British strain of coronavirus was detected in our country, in Sarajevo.
This was confirmed by the head of the laboratory and prof. dr. Teufik Goletić from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, at the press conference of the Federal Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health.

Boeing delivered an improved 26 aircraft in January, boosted by the clearing of the 737 MAX jet to fly again after a 20-month ban as it also won four new orders for its 747-8 freighters.
MAX deliveries are seen as central to Boeing’s financial recovery in 2021 after a sharp slump in demand for its bigger, more profitable wide-body jets due to the coronavirus crisis added to the company’s woes last year.

Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić and Ambassador of the Republic of France to B&H Christine Toudic today signed a Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Security of B&H and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of France on cooperation in combating illicit trade in firearms, ammunition and explosives.

Spain extends ban on arrivals from UK, Brazil, S.Africa

Spain on Tuesday extended a ban on arrivals by air from Britain, Brazil and South Africa until March 2 over the new virus variants detected in those nations.
Only legal residents or nationals of Spain and the neighbouring micro-state of Andorra are currently allowed in on flights from these countries.
The restriction on arrivals from Britain was imposed at the end of December while the ban on arrivals from Brazil and South Africa came into effect on February 3.
