New Zealand on Friday said a tsunami warning issued in response to powerful earthquakes that struck the island nation have been canceled.
-The National Advisory issued following the earthquakes near the Kermadac island region is canceled- said a statement by New Zealand’s National Emergency Management Agency.
Earlier, powerful earthquakes measuring 8.1 and 7.3 on Richter scale hit the northern parts of New Zealand triggering a tsunami alert for the region.

A prominent German-Turkish lawyer said Friday that her family needed security as they continue to get death threats from neo-Nazis with ties to extremists within the ranks of police departments.
Lawyer Seda Basay-Yildiz, who represented families of the Turkish victims killed by the NSU, a neo-Nazi terror group, told local media that she has recently received another letter containing a death threat.
In the past 24 hours, 3,248 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&H, of which 577 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Facebook removes 185 Thai military-linked accounts
Facebook said about 703,000 accounts followed one or more of these pages and around 100,000 accounts joined at least one of these groups

Facebook has removed 185 military-linked accounts and groups for allegedly engaging in an information-influencing operation in Thailand.
-We removed 77 Accounts, 72 Pages, 18 Groups and 18 Instagram accounts that originated in Thailand and targeted domestic audiences in the Southern provinces of Thailand- the social media giant said on Wednesday.
Facebook said its investigation found links of these accounts and groups with the Thai Military’s Internal Security Operations Command.
