COLONIE – Three people, two of them Schenectady residents with a list of recent arrests in the region, were arrested this week in connection with a Tuesday motel room break-in after a motel resident reported being awaken by an intruder, police said.

Police arrested three people in the incident, one woman for the break-in and two men for stolen property possession, police said.
The incident happened Tuesday morning at about 4:30 at the Home 2 Suites on Metro Park Road, police said.
The victim reported she had been asleep in her motel room when she was wakened by someone entering her room and stealing her property, including a purse, a wallet and various clothing items.

COLONIE – Two Schenectady County residents have been arrested, accused of robbing someone at a Colonie hotel, lured there through an website, police said Monday.
Police also now suspect the pair in other thefts from victims in the area following similar encounters, police said.
Khalil Q. Hankins, 25, of Schenectady, and Ava C. Maddalla, 20, of Scotia, have each been arrested on charges of second-degree robbery and other counts.
They are accused of robbing the victim Jan. 11 at about 10:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 45 British American Blvd., police said.
